Tamayo has anchored the 14th Street corner of Larimer Square since 2001, one of chef Richard Sandoval's first restaurants and still his Denver flagship: modern Mexican plates, a long tequila and mezcal list, and a rooftop terrace with the mountains behind the skyline that is the best outdoor seat on the block in summer. Weekend brunch is bottomless. It is a reservation for a group or a date more than a taco stop.
