Stowaway Kitchen
Breakfast and lunch with a passport, in a tiny Walnut Street room
Two travelers opened this place to cook what they picked up abroad, and the menu still reads that way, with a handful of dishes from different corners of the world sharing one short page. The room is small, there is full coffee service plus wine, beer and cocktails, and reservations are worth taking. Hours are the thing to know: Thursday through Monday, 8am to 2pm, closed Tuesday and Wednesday, which the owners describe on their own site as closed for adventures.
Why go. A short, specific breakfast menu that ruins the generic ones for you.
Closed Tuesday and Wednesday, and the room seats about thirty, so book ahead on weekends.
