Izzio Artisan Bakery

Long-fermented loaves and morning pastries in the food hall

The bakery counter at Denver Central Market, selling long-fermented breads, pastries and a short breakfast menu. It opens with the market at 8am, which makes it the reason to come to this building in the morning rather than at dinner: coffee from the bar, a pastry, a loaf to carry home. Bread sells down through the day, so the case at half past eight and the case at four in the afternoon are two different things. Not a place to linger; take it to one of the hall's long communal tables.

Why go. It is the market's morning anchor, and it is open from eight.

Come early for bread; the loaf selection thins out well before lunch.
