Wood-fired Neapolitan pizza and oysters out of a 640-square-foot container
The original Cart-Driver opened in 2014 inside a 640-square-foot shipping container at 25th and Larimer, next door to Work & Class. The whole operation is a wood oven, a short bar and about twenty seats: thin, blistered Neapolitan pizzas, oysters on the half shell, and aperitivo drinks. It runs noon to midnight every day, which makes it one of the few kitchens in the area still going late. Two people can eat a pizza and a dozen oysters at the bar in forty minutes and be out the door.
Why go. Pizza and oysters until midnight, which almost nothing else in this part of town will do.
It seats roughly twenty, so go at an odd hour or plan on waiting outside for a while.
