The Devil's Drink
Underground room built around the espresso martini and its many cousins
Andrew Harris, a Culinary Institute of America graduate, opened this in LoHi in the summer of 2023 and moved it in the fall of 2025 into a much larger basement space on Platte Street. The house specialty is the espresso martini, done a dozen ways, but the bartender's-choice route is the better order: tell them a spirit and a mood and let them work. Dark, low-ceilinged, more theatrical than the block's other cocktail rooms. Westword named it one of the best bars in Denver for 2026.
Why go. The espresso martini list is the deepest in the city and the room plays it straight-faced.
Ask for bartender's choice rather than ordering off the list; that is where the staff is actually good.
