Proto's Pizzeria Napoletana
Thin, blistered Neapolitan pies a block from the river path
Pam Proto's pizzeria does thin, cracker-edged Neapolitan pies, personal-sized and out of the oven fast. The Denver room sits in the 2401 15th Street building at the foot of the Highland Bridge, two minutes from REI and the Platte River Trail, which makes it the standard post-ride, post-walk stop. The beer list is longer than a pizza place needs. It's bright and loud enough that nobody minds a kid, and it's the reliable option on this block when the wait somewhere fancier is an hour.
Why go. Fast, good pizza within a block of the bridge and the river.
The address says 15th Street but the door faces the Platte Street side of the building - people walk right past it.
