The Maven hotel's cocktail bar, built to look like a soda fountain gone rogue.
Poka Lola opened with the Maven hotel on Dairy Block in 2017 and takes its name and its look from an old Colorado soda brand: pastel tile, a horseshoe bar, a chandelier of milk-glass. The drinks are ambitious and sweet-leaning (there is always a boozy float on the list), the food is small plates until 9 or 10pm, and the daily 4–6 happy hour is one of the better deals on this end of Wazee. It works as a first stop before Milk Market or a Coors Field night.
Why go. A polished, unfussy hotel bar with a real happy hour a block from the ballpark.
Happy hour is 4–6 every day including weekends; the patio-side seats along the alley are the quietest.
