Bulgogi bowls and kimbap in the corner Stoic & Genuine gave up
Chef Jackie Cho's Korean-American counter took the Union Station corner that held Stoic & Genuine for a decade until the seafood restaurant closed in September 2024. The menu runs fire-grilled bulgogi bowls, bento boxes, kimbap and sushi with house-made sauces, and it opens at seven every morning with a Japanese breakfast, which almost nothing else downtown does. Order at the counter. It is the most useful early meal in the building if you are catching a train and Snooze has a line out the door.
Why go. A real breakfast at seven a.m. that is not pancakes, inside the station.
The Japanese breakfast runs daily from open; go there when the Snooze waitlist is over half an hour.
