Sandlot Brewery

Blue Moon was invented here, inside the right-field corner of Coors Field

Major League Baseball's first in-park brewery, opened with Coors Field in 1995 inside an old warehouse that became the right-field corner. Keith Villa brewed the first batch of what became Blue Moon in this room, and the brewhouse still turns out a game-day lineup that never leaves the building: Belly Slide Belgian Wit, Right Field Red, Left Field Lager, Coors Field Classic Lager and a rotating handful more. There is no street door and no way in without a ticket, which is the point. The beer only exists for people already inside.

Why go. Beer brewed a few dozen feet from the field that you cannot drink anywhere else.

Go when the gates open; the line stretches once the first pitch is thrown.
