Twenty-seventh floor bar with a wall of glass facing the Front Range.
Up on the 27th floor of the Hyatt Regency next to the Convention Center, a long narrow room with windows down one whole side aimed straight at the mountains. It is a hotel bar and it does not pretend otherwise, but the view is the best indoor one downtown and the prices are lower than the rooftops. Come for sunset in winter, when the rooftop bars are closed and this one is warm. Snacks and a short cocktail list, table service, and enough seats that you can usually walk in on a weeknight without waiting.
Why go. It is the sunset view that still works in February.
Go about forty minutes before sunset and take a window table; opens at four, and the good seats go first on clear evenings.
