Marquis Theater
A 500-cap punk-and-emo room with a pizza window, two blocks from the ballpark.
The Marquis is the small, sweaty room on the 2000 block of Larimer where the pop-punk, hardcore and emo tours stop, and where a lot of Denver kids saw their first all-ages show. Live Nation runs it now, but it still feels like a club: a flat floor, a low stage, a bar along the side, and Marquis Pizza attached so you can eat a slice between bands. Its calendar is on the site as structured data, which is why our listings for it are reliable.
Why go. Close-up shows, all ages, cheap, on a block you are already on.
Sold-out shows have a sidewalk line down Larimer; get there at doors if you want the front.
