Little Owl Coffee
A tiny, serious espresso bar on Blake Street with real pastry.
Little Owl opened on Blake Street in 2013 and became the coffee shop LoDo office workers actually walk to. The room is small (a handful of stools and a window counter), the espresso is dialed in, and the pastry case is better than a coffee bar's needs to be. It now has sibling cafes downtown and in the Populus hotel, but this is the original. Not a laptop camp; more of a ten-minute-and-out place, which is part of why it stays pleasant.
Why go. The best cup within a few blocks of Larimer Square, from people who care about it.
Weekday mornings 8–9:30 there is a line to the door; come after 10 or on a weekend when it is calm.
