Little Man Ice Cream
The giant milk can at the top of the Highland Bridge, with a line every night in summer.
Little Man opened in 2008 as a 28-foot steel milk can at the top of the Highland Bridge and became the thing every visitor photographs and every local pretends to be over. The ice cream is made in-house, salted Oreo and the seasonal fruit flavors are the classics, and for every scoop sold a scoop's worth of food is donated abroad. There is a plaza with movies and music some summer nights. The line moves faster than it looks.
Why go. Ice cream at the end of the bridge walk from Union Station, with the skyline behind you.
Go after 9pm on a weeknight; weekend afternoons the line is thirty minutes.
