Coohills
Chef Tom Coohill's French-leaning dining room, tasting menus by request.
Coohills has held the ground floor of a glass building at 14th and Wewatta for well over a decade, on the Cherry Creek side of Union Station, with Tom Coohill cooking French technique on Colorado ingredients: crab cakes, short rib, a daily fish, pommes frites. In recent years it has narrowed its hours and leaned into custom five-, seven- and ten-course tasting menus (from $110, 48 hours notice), private events, and a bar that opens before Ball Arena games and concerts. Happy hour is 4:30 to 6pm. Check the site for the week's open dates before you go.
Why go. A quiet, chef-owned dinner or a pre-Ball Arena drink away from the Wynkoop crush.
Hours vary week to week; call or check the site, and book the tasting menu at least two days out.
