The big house at the Arts Complex, opened in 1991 and named for Temple Hoyne Buell, the architect who also drew the Paramount up the hill. This is where the national tours sit for a week or two: Phantom, The Music Man, Water for Elephants, Hell's Kitchen. Roughly 2,880 seats across an orchestra and two balconies, which means the cheap seats really are far away and the room was tuned for amplified musicals rather than opera. Enter under the arched glass galleria on Curtis, the same roof that ties the whole complex together.
Why go. The only downtown room big enough to take the full-scale Broadway tours.
