 xplores a number of iconic drum grooves from Cissy Strut \, St. Thomas an
 d 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover \, that have propelled the jazz\, funk\, ro
 ck and pop genres into the future. Kevin Matthews is a first call drummer
  in the Colorado music scene\, with a career that includes appearances wi
 th the Colorado Symphony\, acclaimed alt-country band Gasoline Lollipops\
 , and Juno Award winning folk musician Jayme Stone. From his involvement 
 with the Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts (CCJA)\, Denver School o
 f the Arts\, Cherry Creek Academy\, The Breckenridge Music Festival\, The
  Gift of Jazz\, Friends of Chamber Music and a deep private instruction r
 oster\, Kevin is also a well respected and prolific music educator in the
